A. SupporTrak™ offers a proprietary, browser-based
system that allows your information systems team immediate
access to all pertinent information about the service and
support of your POS system. SupporTrak™ provides accurate,
up-to-date information regarding call resolution, spare POS
hardware asset management, while pinpointing recurring support
issues that may signal a need for additional POS training
in your stores. Also, as an independent company that supports
multiple POS products, SupporTrak™ is able to effectively
support multiple POS systems from multiple POS vendors through
one single source.
Q. What hardware products does SupporTrak
support?
A. SupporTrak™ is equipped to service most
POS hardware that has been manufactured within the previous
five years. SupporTrak™ currently services a wide variety
of POS and computer hardware including: IBM, Pioneer, NCR,
Javelin, Sable, Micros, TEC, Epson, Star, and MS Cash Drawer.
Q. What software products does SupporTrak™
support?
A. SupporTrak™ has the resources and skilled
personnel to support most POS software products. SupporTrak™
is a subcontractor for several POS support companies, in addition
to being an ISV (Independent Service Provider) for multiple
POS software vendors. SupporTrak™ will consider supporting
any POS software application if the software vendor is willing
to provide SupporTrak™ with the necessary technical information
SupporTrak™ requires in order to be able to effectively support
the application.
Q. Does SupporTrak™ offer On-site hardware
service?
A. SupporTrak™ specializes in Depot hardware
service, but is able to provide On-site service through independent
contractors.
Q. Who owns SupporTrak?
A. SupporTrak™ is a division of SDCR Business
Systems. SDCR Business Systems is a stable, profitable, private
company that was founded in 1967.

Q. Why arent other companies offering
the same capabilities that SupporTrak™ offers?
A. Many POS companies view customer care
as being a necessary part of their business, although they
would prefer not to be in the customer care business. Unlike
other companies, SupporTraks™ core business is the service
and support of POS systems. Consequently, we have invested
in the best software support tools and systems available,
and integrated those tools to help us meet the needs of our
customers.
Q. How long does it take to get my POS hardware
repaired?
A. SupporTrak™ recommends that a hot spare
program be used in conjunction with our depot hardware service
programs. The hot spare program allows SupporTrak™ to ship
a replacement hardware device to the store that needs the
device without the delay of waiting for the broken hardware
device to be repaired.
